Tucson Rental Market February 2014

What are the rents like in Tucson these days?  In summary - the average monthly rent prices are starting to balance out a little more as inventory fluctuates. Tucson's North, East, South and Southeast parts of town are averaging about 22 available homes in each area.

Tucson's West, Central and Northwest parts of town have the highest number of available rentals - averaging 54 rentals homes in each area - and this has caused the typical high rental prices to drop but the NW and West areas still have the highest average monthly rent prices.  Tucson's Northeast side of town Has the least available number of rentals available - a total of 10 at this writing!

That is some serious diversity of rental prices.  How is that compare to mortgage pmts for median homes in these areas?  Is it competitive to buy vs rent?

HI KEVIN ... it depends on the price point ... smaller homes are priced low enough to make it cheaper than renting a similar unit.

HI JOHN ..Thank you!

HI ART .. as I mentioned to Kevin, in some cases - it can be!
