Tucson Rental Market Statistics February 2015

Below are some highlights from the February Rental Statistics from the Tucson Association of Realtors monthly reporting:

Total Active listings for February - 862

 Number of properties rented this month - 397

 Average monthly rent for Apartments - $558

 Average monthly rent for Condominiums - $794

 Average monthly rent for Mobile Homes - $692

 Average monthly rent for Manufactured Single Family Residence’s - $792

 Average monthly rent for Plex’s - $547

 Average monthly rent for Single Family Residence’s - $1,176

 Average monthly rent for Townhomes - $972

 Average Days on Market - 62

Tucson patio homes showed no activity in February.

What are the biggest changes?  Mostly drops in rent prices - Tucson condos dropped an average of $27 a month; single family residence rental prices dropped an average of $22 a month.  Of the 862 active rental listings - roughly 54 percent did not get rented.  Tucson's east side remains the strongest rental area - with a total number of 52 active listings - 43 of them were rented.

We are still rising very well in rental rates and even today I saw a 3/2 with pool for $1700 and that is up from $1500 last year.
